Instructional Time

Gautier High School is on a true 4 by 4 block system. Two ninety-day semesters comprise a school year. The semester is divided into two nine-week terms. Students are enrolled in four 95-116 minute classes per day; therefore they may earn eight Carnegie units per year. Some student athletes who complete seat time extending after the school day may also earn .5 or 1 credit per semester.

GPA and Ranking

Final GPA is based on all coursework completed prior to and including the 4th quarter of the cohort’s senior year. GPA is computed on a 100-point and 4.0 grade scale. However, Rank is based on the weighted grades of all coursework completed prior to and including the 3rd quarter of the cohort’s senior year. The Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Top 10% are also based on rank that includes all coursework completed prior to and including the 3rd quarter of the cohort’s senior year
